The digital bore gauge offers an accurate method of measuring a bore or detecting a taper or ovality. The bore gauge must be calibrated to a known size and will indicate the deviation from that size by a maximum of 0.8mm. A set of anvils are included with the bore gauge. These are used to set the measuring range of the gauge to within 0.8mm of the desired bore to be measured or produced. The digital indicator will display in both metric and imperial measurements. The indicator can be set to zero or a datum value can be entered. The easy to read display also has a LCD analogue bar graph, giving a clear indication of positive or negative size deviation. An outside micrometer, setting ring or slip gauges can be used to calibrate the bore gauge. The anvils are threaded and simply screw into the head of the gauge. A spanner is supplied. The head also features a sprung guide to centralize the measuring contacts to the bore. There is a heat insulating grip along the centre of the body. The digital indicator is secured by a split collet and knurled locking.
