Overview
Pendulum type angle sensor and remote display with a resolution of 0.1 degrees.
  • Angle Tilt Sensor/Inclinometer with Remote Display - Pendulum type
  • Tilt/incline angle sensor with a remote LCD display with a resolution of 0.1 degrees
  • As the angle sensor is rotated a weighted internal pendulum, provides a reference and remote display calculates the angle
  • The remote display has the on/off button and a zero function button allowing the display to be set to zero degrees in any position
  • The gauge is powered by a standard CR2032 battery located behind a twist lock compartment on the rear of the display
  • The Display is linked to the angle sensor by a 910mm (36") cable. This is a standard standard Cat 5E Ethernet (RJ45) cable. Longer cables can be purchased separately
  • This allows the display and angle sensor to be disconnected. The angle sensor has a mounting flange with two mounting holes
  • We would recommend that 5 meters is the maximum cable length when using the Angle Tilt Sensor/Inclinometer
  • Cables can be extended to 5 metres but please note that this must be a RJ45 Cat 5 lead that is screened. If not not there may be interference issues
  • Please Note - The sensor must not be subjected to harsh vibration. Protect sensor from coolant and moisture ingress

Customer Questions
What does the sensor output onto the cat5 cable? I would like to use it as input to a raspberry pi to control a device, does this seem possible?
Unfortuantely it is not possible to interface to the output, it is non standard. Many thanks
Were longer cable lenghts tested? How reliable is for example 10metres? Thank you.
We recommend a length of 5 metres, We have tested with 20m cable and it did work ok but there are concerns on cable volt drop and also possible noise/interference.
HI ,Do I need to re-zero the unit every time I turn the unit on to make a measurement? Trying to measure the tilt angle of a rigging bar ( 10m in the air ). Happy to zero the device before raising the bar but am wondering what happens after disconnecting the meter or powering off the reader. If I leave the reader attached will it stay powered and the same abs value ? Thanks for any help
The gauge will retain its zero as long as the battery is fitted and the display and sensor are connected. You can turn the unit on and off and it will retain zero.
