Happy Chinese New Year to everyone celebrating the Year of the Rat, including our Chinese customers and staff at our Hangzhou, China office. To celebrate the Chinese New Year (also known as the Spring Festival), will be decorating our UK office with authentic Chinese decorations as well as some very tasty Chinese goodies in the staff kitchen.
Did you know…. showering is forbidden on New Year’s Day and sweeping & throwing out the rubbish bin isn’t allowed before the 5th. This is to make sure you don’t wash away the good luck, however, there is a day before the Spring Festival dedicated to cleaning. This day is to sweep the bad luck away and make room for the good.
On the other hand, there’s a day before the Spring Festival dedicated to cleaning.
What’s your Chinese zodiac sign? Have a fantastic new year, or as they say in China, 新年快乐 (Xīnnián kuàilè).
Last week we exhibited at the London Model Engineering Exhibition at Alexandra Palace and it was yet another fantastic year. Not only were we able to meet some of our great customers face-to-face, but the exhibition saw the launch of our new M-SURE precision measuring tools range.
Our stand was very popular across the whole weekend and visitors were able to get a hands-on first glimpse of M-SURE, with many of the visitors purchasing from our stand once they tried the metrology tools for themselves. More news will follow on the new M-SURE range which will be available on our website soon. It wasn’t just our measuring tools that were getting all the attention, we also had a lot of attention from our Cases and Ultrasonic Cleaners, which went down well with the model engineers that visited.
It’s always great to see our customers at these exhibitions and we look forward to our next exhibition which is Practical Classics Classic Car & Restoration Show at the NEC Birmingham on 27-29th March 2020. View our upcoming events here.
Our customer has mounted main brackets on the back to the saddle by using the mini head and has manufactured extension T-piece to the cross slide for the read head to live under. He also had to extend the splashback by 5 or 6 inches to allow for the travel of the longer cross slide. The thick rubber sheet he has laid there to make sure all the chips and oil comes back into the lathes tray, and not all over his bench behind.
