How to calibrate the caliper- using the setting gauge plate which has two contact pads set at 4 inches apart, place the calipers measuring points between the gauge pads. If the display is reading 4 inches the calipers are calibrated correctly. If the reading is out adjust the calibration screw on the jaw, close the calipers, press zero the button and place between the gauge pads until 4 inches is display on the LCD
