This is only good for large gear teeth. Not suitable for model engineering. The addendum blade only goes down to .051". The blade is .053" away from the stationary jaw. The smallest gear that mine will even come close to measure is 20 DP. Not good for Module 1. The interference is caused by the positioning of the addendum blade down the center of the movable jaw. This jaw interferes with the blade upon smaller measurements. Other gear verniers place the movable blade behind the jaw.
