Vernier Calipers

Vernier calipers are the most traditional type of caliper, requiring manual reading by aligning two scales and interpreting the result. They have no batteries and very few moving parts, making them exceptionally reliable in tough workshop conditions. However, they can be more prone to human error during measurement.

These calipers are available in metric, imperial, or dual-scale formats, with inch fraction options also offered. A single instrument typically allows measurement of external, internal, and depth dimensions.
